Sad things what happen to turtles

Turtles mistake plastic bags for jellyfish. When turtles see plastic bags, they try to eat it
and this causes them to get sick or die. The problem with eating this plastic is that the turtles stomachs become filled with gas and they float on top of the water.

People are throwing small plastic items such as water and milk bottle tops and balloons into the water. The food web is changing because there is lots of turtles that are dying.

This is why we need more bins around the marine environments, like the foreshore of Manly.

Tangalooma Visit

On Monday we went to Tangalooma. First we went on a boat . It took 1 hour . There was a lady call Mal, she is a marine biologist.

Excursion to Manly Waterfront

We are investigating the bay and what lives there. We went in the mud and I saw worms, jellyfish and crab holes. I saw lots of mud and worm tracks.
